IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING HOMECOMING DAY (Friday, Oct. 20th).  Don’t forget that on FRIDAY, ALL STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO THEIR PERIOD 1 CLASS at 7:50 a.m.  Students who are unscheduled periods 1, must report to school at 8:59.  Bring enough money for food.  Nutrition Services will only be available at Breakfast, Nutrition and Lunch.

 

A SCHOOL-WIDE ASSEMBLY will take place on the rally stage Friday 10/20 during the fair.  Please take time out to support your classmates and enjoy the show.  Please eat a healthy breakfast on Friday since lunch will not be available until two hours later than normal.

 

ATTENDANCE OFFICE - If you are planning on leaving early this Friday (Homecoming day), you will need to turn in an early out request no later than nutrition on Wednesday, October 18th. Early-outs will not be accepted on Friday, October 20th.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Thank you for your cooperation

 

CLOSED CAMPUS -All buildings will be closed to students during the assembly and fair unless accompanied by a teacher.  Do not leave your belongings in any classroom.

 

MOST INTERACTIVE AND INFLATABLE GAMES WILL BE ONE OR MORE TICKETS.

 

A SPECIAL NIGHT SOCIAL recognizing our Varsity Football team and Spirit Groups will be held on Thursday evening, Oct. 19th on the rally stage at 6:00 p.m.  Come out, support our school, and show your school spirit.

 

PICK UP YOUR LANCER CARD PRIZES, including homecoming fair tickets and t-shirts, from your coach/club sponsor on Thursday, Oct. 19th.  If you sold cards for ASB or Student Council, please go to the Activities Office to pick up your prizes before Friday, Oct. 20th.

 

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS are on sale during the week of the Fair for only $5.00.  Get one now before they are sold out.

 

IF YOU PURCHASED AN ACTIVITIES CARD - go to the Banker’s Office to pick up your free Homecoming shirt.

 

HOMECOMING VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME VS COMPTON - Is this Friday, Oct 20th.  Football tickets go on sale throughout the week and will also be sold during the homecoming fair at the Banker’s Office.  THE PURCHASE OF A HOMECOMING FOOTBALL TICKET ALLOWS ENTRANCE TO VIEW THE GAME BUT DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN ENTRANCE TO THE STADIUM SEATING AREA.  In the event that the football stadium is filled, a standing room only area will be created at the north end on the track for those who purchase tickets.  Lakewood Students Pre-Sale is $3.00, Adults are $8.00 and Senior and Children 12 and under are $4.00.

 

HOMECOMING FAIR TICKETS ($.50 each) are on sale at the Banker’s Office Monday thru Thursday.  Buy your tickets now to avoid the long lines. Tickets will be sold on Friday at the Student Store during the fair only.

 

 

BE SURE TO DRESS UP DURING WEEK according to theme.  As always, the school dress-code will be enforced.

  • Fri., Oct. 20th               Nightmare Before Homecoming (wear Red & White)

 

DECORATE YOUR DOOR.  All period 4 classes are encouraged to decorate their doors according to the “Nightmare Before Homecoming” theme.  Judging will take place Thursday, Oct. 19th after school.  The top three classes will be announced at the school-wide assembly on Friday, Oct. 20th. Winning class will receive donuts and juice.

 

CLUB & TEAM SECTION

 

HOMECOMING BOOTH SELECTION.  This year, all clubs that have signed up to sell food will receive a map of the table or booth set up on Thursday after school.  Clubs should choose a table if they will not be decorating a booth according  to this years theme.

 

HOMECOMING BOOTH DECORATION begins after school on Thursday and ends no later than 6:00 p.m.  All booth decorating must end at this time since the campus will be closing down.  Get involved and have fun decorating!  Voting will take place Friday morning. Winning booth will receive a gift basket.

 

REMINDER.  Foods items should be sold in $.50 increments.  DO NOT ACCEPT CASH at the Fair.

 

ADVERTISE YOUR CLUB FUND-RAISER AT THE FAIR.  The ASB will provide paper to advertise what your group is selling.  Sign making is between 2:40 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Paint will be provided.  You must provide any additional decorating materials.

 

STUDENTS WHO NEED TO GET OUT OF CLASS TO PREPARE FOR THE FAIR   Before you are permitted to leave or be absent from your regular class for a school activity, you must be on the Student Booth Workers list provided by your advisor. If you are not on this list and are out of class you will be marked absent. This should be done at least one day previous to the absence.  Club sponsors are encouraged to limit the number of students and time missed from class to prepare for the Homecoming Fair on Friday.  Students must wear the ‘booth watchers’ pass.

 

PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR BOOTH AND SURROUNDING AREA immediately after the fair to avoid your club being fined $50.00.  All chairs and tables need to be returned to the rally stage.

 

HOMECOMING BOOTH TICKET REPORTS should be turned in to the Banker’s office on Monday, October 23rd  Ticket reports will be available at the fair.
