LHS DRAMA PRESENTS – Far Out Fairy Tales. Please come out and join us on Thursday, Nov. 15th; Friday, Nov. 16th at 6pm and Saturday, Nov. 17th at 6pm and Matinee at 2pm.  Tickets are $10 and children under 10 are free.

DEBATE CLUB – Are you interested in debating controversial topics? If so, then come join debate club in room 312 today at lunch.

THE LAST COLLEGE VISIT OF THE SEMESTER – Cal State Northridge will be presenting in the College and Career Center today at Lunch.  CSU Northridge will be the last college presenting this semester.  All students are welcome to Room 332 at Lunch.

THE NAVY WILL BE HERE TOMORROW – If you have an interest in learning more about the opportunities available in the Navy, including the Naval Reserves and ROTC, please stop by the College and Career Center tomorrow at Lunch.

NO PIE UNTIL YOU APPLY – Seniors, have you finished your college and financial aid applications?  If not, stop by the Library any time between 8:00 am and noon on Monday, November 19th or Tuesday, November 20th to get help from the College Advisors and Ms. Gildon during Thanksgiving Break.  Turkey Turn-Up is your chance to get your applications finished so that you can relax and enjoy the rest of your vacation.

PEER TUTORING OPEN IN THE LIBRARY - Are you struggling in your classes and need some extra help? Do you need computer access?  Do you want to form study groups?  Are you looking for a quiet place to study or finish a project?  Come to the Library Monday through Thursday after school until 4:15 for Peer Tutoring during regular scheduled days.  Qualified AP students will be available to tutor in nearly all academic subjectsEVERY STUDENT IS WELCOME!

COME ON LAKEWOOD, - Show we care!  Pick up an Operation Christmas Child box in room 309, fill it with stuff, and return it to 309 by November 14th (date extended).  You will be helping a disadvantaged child have a present this Christmas!!

COLLEGE AND FINANCIAL APPLICATION WORKSHOPS ARE MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY – Seniors, if you want to get a head start on your college applications, stop by the College and Career Center after school on any Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. The College Advisors will be available to help with personal statements, academic resumes, financial aid, and college applications. 

LAKEWOOD’S SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED – Seniors, if you’re looking for scholarships, Lakewood’s Local Scholarship Application is available in the College and Career Center (Room 332). With one application, you will be applying for more than 50 scholarships. The application is due by Monday, December 10th. Don't miss out on free money!

SENIORS BABY PHOTO: Join the Citadel Classroom to submit your Senior Baby Photo. Use code "w3t782" to join and add your digital image. Baby Photos are DUE December 1st.

SENIORS MEMORY PAGE:  Purchase your Senior Memory Page for the Yearbook from the Banker or Webstore. The price is currently $150 until December 1st. The price will increase to $200 after December 1st.



COLLEGES AND MILITARY REPRESENTATIVES VISITING/WORKSHOPS THE COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER SOON – Meet with college admissions counselors and military representatives in the College and Career Center to find out more about admissions requirements, available scholarships, and great programs available at colleges and within each military branch.
