    High School Choice Pathway Information Day October 27

    Lakewood will be at Long Beach City College quad off Carson Street, Saturday October 27. In LBUSD, students engage in Linked Learning through pathways based on California Industry Sectors. At the School Choice Pathway Information Day parents and students can learn about Lakewood's rigorous academics that are aligned with career and technical education and provide a deeper understanding of how to apply that learning to life. Today's Lancers graduate college and career ready.

    Cash for College Night

    We had over 100 students and family members at our October 16th College/Scholarship Information Session.  It was standing room only in the Library.  Please see the attached the presentation from that evening’s event.  We’ll be having a follow-up evening event soon with the College and Career Team.  For our senior families, our next Cash for College Night will be on Wednesday, December 5th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The information about that event is in the attached packet.

    AP Fall Bridge Registration is Now Open for Students Currently Enrolled in AP Courses

    Why attend? By attending workshops specific to each subject, participants can focus on strengthening reading and writing skills in those areas to be more successful in specific AP courses.

    Workshops will be offered for the following AP Courses:

    • AP Calculus
    • AP Chemistry
    • AP English Language & Composition
    • AP English Literature & Composition
    • AP Physics
    • AP Psychology
    • AP Spanish Language
    • AP U.S. History\

    *Workshops are mandatory for students earning a D or F in a specific AP course.

    *Students that attend 2 sessions, 8:15 – 12:15 will get Saturday School credit!

    Workshops will be held on Saturdays:

    October 20, November 3, December 8, & December 15

    Session 1 - 8:00 am to 10:00 am

    Session 2 – 10:15 am to 12:15 pm

    Seniors, if you need access to your transcript online please follow the directions for Parchment. You can also send your transcript to schools who will accept transcripts electronically. Access to your completed transcript with all four years semesters will begin June 23rd.
