Senior Calendar & Information

Do you have any artistic talent?  If so, consider filling out an application to participate in the senior shield contest.  The winner will receive a free yearbook and be forever remembered as the shield will be placed in the school cafeteria for generations to come.  The shield will also be seen in the front row of the Senior Panorama picture to be taken during Senior Century Day. Winner will be reimbursed up to $300 for making the shield.

CENTURY DAY PAN PICTURE Tuesday, March 7, 2023 - Period 3

Senior Century Day marks 100 days before graduation, a time to celebrate and a time to enjoy senior friends.  Bring your student I.D., as only seniors with I.D.’s will be dismissed from class and allowed through the gate.  All seniors will be seated in the stadium for the panorama picture.  Be sure and wear your club/sport t-shirts or sweatshirts and sit with your group (band with band shirts sit together, cheer in uniform sit together, soccer with sweatshirts sit together, etc.).  A picnic, D.J., games and fun will follow the picture.  More information will be announced later.  Panorama pictures are on sale at the banker’s office.

Lakewood High School does not sponsor any Senior Trip after graduation due to the numerous problems and liability presented by such activities.  Individual(s) claiming to sell tickets for a Senior Trip are not supported by any campus club or organization and usually sell tickets for personal gain and/or may represent fraudulent companies.  Promoting such activities on campus is cause for disciplinary action.

Herff Jones has been authorized to sell class rings and announcements on the Lakewood High School campus.  Ring deposits are $60.00.  The last day to order Graduation Announcements is Jan. 31.  All questions regarding class rings & announcements should first be directed to the company. Go to for more information.

You must have a cap and gown in order to participate in the graduation ceremony and receive tickets.

District Policy: Please note that while caps and gowns are the traditional dress for graduation, such attire is not required for students to participate in graduation ceremonies. Most schools have not changed their cap and gown style for years, so if a neighbor, friend or relative has one, you may wish to borrow theirs.  If you paid for a cap and gown but no longer wish to use one and would prefer to be reimbursed, please contact your school.  Our high schools also make free caps and gowns available for students who wish to borrow them.  Please also keep in mind that graduation dress codes will apply in the absence of a cap and gown.

Lakewood Policy: Please note that caps and gowns are the traditional and required dress for the Lakewood High School graduation. Lakewood has not changed their cap and gown style for years, so if a neighbor, friend or relative has one, you may wish to borrow theirs.  We also make free caps and gowns available for students who wish to borrow them. If you paid for a cap and gown but no longer wish to use it and would prefer to be reimbursed, please contact the Activities Office no later than April 6th.
