Deadline for Yearbook submission: Last Friday in October. 

(Dogs are NOT permitted on campus for photos. They must be taken to the studio if you would like your dog in the photo.)

Graduation Tickets

All graduating Seniors receive 4 tickets to the graduation ceremony.  The student/parent-guardian graduation agreement form must be turned in and all fines cleared with the banker prior to purchasing or receiving the cap & gown.


Extra Graduation Tickets will be available for purchase for $10 each at the Senior Picnic and Cap and Gown Distribution Day.

Commencement Instructions


1. Arrange a meeting area for your family using the numbers in the parking lot

2. Arrive at Vet Stadium at 1:00 p.m.  Report to the “staging area” (baseball field).

Important:  DO NOT bring spiked heels, cameras, cell phones, yearbooks, purses, flowers, money leis, corsages, packages, balloons or stuffed animals to the staging area.  Writing or anything attached to a cap, gown or shoes is prohibited.  Do not wear shorts or beach attire.

3. Upon entering the staging area, look up your last name on the Master Graduation List to find your group number.

4. Report to the faculty members assigned to your group by looking for your group number posted on the field.

5. In order to obtain a GRAD CARD from the faculty in your group, you must stay with your group at all times and be respectful towards everyone.

6. Faculty members will issue your GRAD CARD to you approximately ten (10) minutes prior to entering the field for the processional.  If your name is difficult to pronounce, please write it phonetically on the card.

Note: Students without a GRAD CARD may not participate in the graduation ceremony.

7. Line up numerically based on the number shown on your GRAD CARD.  TASSELS GO ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

8. Your name will be announced according to the numerical “Order of March” as listed in the graduation program making it easier for your invited guests to anticipate when you will be on stage.

9. Honor students needing a REFUND, "return" the honor apparel to the Banker's Office during June 15 - June 19 from 8 am to 3 pm.


DIPLOMAS WILL NOT BE MAILED HOME.  Diplomas will be ready for pick up by the student only in the counseling office starting the first Tuesday after graduation between 8:00 am - 12:00, 1:00 pm -  2:00 pm. Must show ID.

Please honor the graduating Class of 2020 by showing courtesy to others. After the ceremony, please stay off the athletic field. Exit to the rear of the stadium to meet graduates in the parking lot.


Smoking, confetti, balloons, noisemakers, and standing in the walkways are discourteous to those around you and are prohibited.

Tickets are on sale for $150.00 in the Student Store at the door at 5:30 p.m.

Lakewood High Grad Nite Schedule

5:30 p.m. …………………Check in at LHS Student Store

6:30 p.m. …………………..….Load buses.  Be on Time!

7:00 p.m. Sharp!..Buses depart LHS for Magic Mountain.

9:00 – 5:00 a.m.…………..Grad Nite at Magic Mountain.

6:00 a.m. Sharp!………..…Buses leave Magic Mountain.

7:30 a.m. (depending on traffic)………..Buses return to LHS


In keeping with our family-friendly environment, and for safety reasons, Six Flags enforces a dress code.
Proper attire must be worn in the park at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. Clothing or tattoos
with offensive language or graphics are not permitted at any time.
Examples of clothing NOT permitted are those displaying:

  • Profanity
  • Pornography
  • Graphic violence
  • Support of drugs and drug use
  • Gang symbols
  • Promotion of discrimination against any group
  • Mask and hoodies with face covers


  • Six Flags Security has the right to refuse admission to anyone they deem not appropriately dressed for the event.
  • Any student or guest not permitted because of dress code must remain accompanied by a chaperone until a resolution has been found.
  • Temperatures drop overnight – it is recommended to avoid wearing shorts, skirts, or dresses.

Acceptable for Everyone: DRESS TO IMPRESS!

• Jeans, Khakis, Dress Pants or Capri’s

• Jackets / Sweatshirts / Sweaters 

• Any apparel/clothing purchased at Six Flags Grad Nite.

• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

• Polo or Button Down collared style shirts are acceptable.    

Suggestions of what to wear/bring:

  • Drawstring backpacks
  • Purses (sized 8.5 x 11)
  • Jeans or leggings/yoga pants
  • T-Shirts
  • Blouse, Sweater or Top
  •  Cameras, cell phones, pagers are OK if they are not in cases.

Unacceptable for Everyone at Magic Mountain

• Backpacks, large duffle bags, briefcases, hip packs (fanny packs), camera bags, tote bags, or oversized purses are not allowed.

• Clothing affiliated with a school, sports team, group or club, etc. (i.e. letterman jackets with school logos, etc

• Extremely revealing clothing (i.e. bathing suit tops or bottoms, midriffs or see-through clothing, etc.

• Bandanas

• Clothing or belts with spikes, sharp studs, chains- (no wallet chains)

• Laser pointers, Weapons, knives, chemical irritants of any kind

Food and beverages (including water bottles and snack items)

Prescription medication / Over-the-counter medication (inhalers OK)

Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, etc.) or related materials (lighters, matches, pipes, etc.)

Alcohol or any controlled substance


• It is ultimately the school’s responsibility to ensure that all students, guests, and Chaperones adhere to the Grad Nite dress code.

• Failure to follow the dress code may result in delayed or denial of admission to the Grad Nite event.

• Six Flags Security has the right to refuse admission to anyone they deem not appropriately dressed for the event.
