CAP & GOWN

You must have a cap and gown in order to participate in the graduation ceremony and receive tickets.

District Policy: Please note that while caps and gowns are the traditional dress for graduation, such attire is not required for students to participate in graduation ceremonies. Most schools have not changed their cap and gown style for years, so if a neighbor, friend or relative has one, you may wish to borrow theirs.  If you paid for a cap and gown but no longer wish to use one and would prefer to be reimbursed, please contact your school.  Our high schools also make free caps and gowns available for students who wish to borrow them.  Please also keep in mind that graduation dress codes will apply in the absence of a cap and gown.

Lakewood Policy: Please note that caps and gowns are the traditional and required dress for the Lakewood High School graduation. Lakewood has not changed their cap and gown style for years, so if a neighbor, friend or relative has one, you may wish to borrow theirs.  We also make free caps and gowns available for students who wish to borrow them. If you paid for a cap and gown but no longer wish to use it and would prefer to be reimbursed, please contact the Activities Office no later than April 6th.

The price includes a cap, gown, cord & tassel (you get to keep these items). All graduating Seniors receive 4 tickets to the graduation ceremony.  The student/parent-guardian graduation agreement form must be turned in and all fines cleared with the banker prior to purchasing or receiving the cap & gown.
