Mrs. Bobo
Welcome!
Welcome to the start of the 2016-2017 school year. I am Mrs. Lindsay Bobo and I will be your AP Biology teacher or Accelerated Biology teacher for the coming year. I am very excited about the new year. I believe every student has the ability to be successful as long as they keep their goals in mind and take advantage of opportunities when they arise. I am willing to put forth as much effort as needed to help each student attain their goals.
To let you know a little about myself, I was born in Southern California, and grew up in central California in a town called Turlock. I returned to Southern California to attend California State University Long Beach, where I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology in 2003 and my single subject credential in 2004. I was very fortunate to complete my student teaching assignment here at Lakewood High School and to receive a teaching position at Lakewood in 2004. In 2007 I went back to school to earn my masters degree. In 2009 I was awarded my masters degree in the geosciences from Mississippi State University. Since then I have gone on to receive my National Board Certification for Teaching Professionals in November of 2010. I currently live in Lakewood with my husband (who is a middle school math teacher) and our two young children (ages 2 and 4 months)
I hope everyone has a wonderful year. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have questions or concerns. Go Wood! :)
